From February 28th to March 1st the Techstars Startup Weekend Food took place – an event where everybody has the chance to pitch exciting and innovative ideas relating to food. Of course there was no way h-i-p could miss this and so the firm was represented by Jonna Eberl as a mentor for the start-ups. An amazing event with lots of creative ideas – from solutions for food waste to ending hunger – there was something for everyone.

On December 3rd the 12th Demo Day by the high tech incubator INiTS took place, where ten high tech startups had the opportunity to pitch in front of a prominent jury. As a partner of INiTS h-i-p took part as well and Thomas In der Maur was one of the judges. The winner of the evening was the startup rotable, which offers an automated human resource management solution for the management of medical training for hospitals and young doctors. An exciting evening packed with innovative ideas!

From 18th to 20th October the event “Startup Live” took place in Vienna and h-i-p participated “live” for the second time already: h-i-p was available as mentor to the founders all afternoon and thereby met many founders, other mentors and experts.

h-i-p is a proud cooperation partner of INiTS and therefor naturally had to be part of this years annually Welcome Breakfast, the start of the already 12th start-up campus. Many interesting projects and fresh ideas were presented by the 10 new start-ups and we’re already looking forward to an exciting cooperation!

At a height of 22 meters Austria’s leading startup investor network primeCROWD presented the somewhat different Pitching Battle event.
In addition to over 150 guests, including 10 startups, 12 investors and countless event partners, h-i-p was also there as startups presented themselves to investors in a competition. Meanwhile, all visitors took the opportunity to network in the exuberant atmosphere of the Bohemian Prater. The winner WisR received attractive prices including a workshop voucher from h-i-p.

On April 25 around 100 guests participated in the new event format: In three duels, start-up experts fought fierce battles to be awarded the title of Fight Night Champion. “2 Minuten 2 Millionen” start-up coach Florian Kandler was the referee for the evening and thus ensured fair fights.Thomas In der Maur was elected Fight Night Champion in the category “Artificial Intelligence”.
